Why I Do This Work

Your business should support your life, not take it over.

For years, I tried to create flexibility inside a traditional job while raising three kids, juggling early meetings and school drop-offs, and drowning in the constant push and pull of wanting a meaningful career without sacrificing my family or myself.

I chose entrepreneurship in search of more time. First a photography side business, and years later, a government contracting company. I managed the projects and teams, did all my own marketing, and created visibility by speaking at over 20 conferences and events in the U.S. and internationally.

Both businesses grew successfully… but I felt even more overwhelmed and stretched thin than I did in a 9 to 5 job.

I traded one kind of busy for another. I was great at my core work, but I was overwhelmed with growing the business (marketing) while leading the business.

It wasn’t until I stepped back and started designing simple, automated systems that everything shifted.

I learned I could:

• Build a values-aligned business, so I could prioritize my family

• Create thoughtful income streams that allowed me to hustle less

• Market my work in a way that felt authentic to me... allowing me to be introverted and not salesy

• And still protect my time and energy so I could do my best work

That experience is at the heart of how I support my clients today.
